An 1867 model Carcano infantry rifle with bayonet

dating: Third quarter of the 19th Century provenance: Kingdom of Italy, Round, rifled, 18 mm cal. barrel (visible groove), with foresight and clutch for the bayonet, foldaway rear sight. Sliding-revolving bolt, with traces of markings and remains of marks, a clearly visible Savoy stamp. Working mechanics, but very weak spring. Full, wooden stock with traces of needle conversion. Iron mounts, with remains of marks. Pitting. Missing ramrod. Ring nut bayonet (length 53 cm.). Attached are historical notes collected by the owner. length 141 cm.
