dating: 1863 provenance: USA, Rifled, round, 15 mm cal. barrel, (still visible groove), with octagonal base marked '1863', 'V', 'P', 'C' and with eagle head, adjustable rear sight and foresight; forward spring lock marked 'US COLT'S PT. T A MFG C.O HARTFORD CT.' and with year '1863'; full wooden stock (butt marked 'P O 329', and with various stamps) with iron mounts and ramrod, butt- plate marked 'US'. length 142 cm.
