Fu ispirata alla 108, della quale condivideva le linee generali della carrozzeria, realizzata in vetroresina e montata su un telaio a trave centrale. Esternamente invece era molto diversa per il disegno del padiglione e della coda, resi più sportivi e più estremi nel design, e anche per il frontale a doppi fari carenati. Il motore di origine Renault era montato in posizione posteriore a sbalzo e questo richiese la creazione di aperture di areazione sulla parte superiore dei parafanghi. Fu sicuramente nel 1966 che questa auto conobbe il suo periodo di maggiore splendore, quando uscì la versione con il motore della Renault 1300 Gordini. Questa versione si fece subito notare da tutti grazie alle sue innumerevoli vittorie nei rally, come la 24ore di Le Mans ed il primo Mondiale. In seguito agli accordi presi da Jean Redele e la Renault, fu la prima Alpine ad avere sul cofano anteriore il losango del marchio francese ‘la Regie’. Il magnifico esemplare da noi proposto in asta è un vero e proprio unicorno per gli appassionati di motorsport di tutto il mondo. La mitica A110 1300 VC. L’auto si presenta con tutte le sue componenti originali. La carrozzeria in vetroresina versa in ottime condizioni nessuna sofferenza nessuna crepa o ruggine di sorta. Il colore giallo è il mitico Tournesol ancora molto vivo e risalta le sue forme disegnate per esaltare la guida di chiunque vi si ponga al volante. Ulteriore elemento di originalità è la fanaleria con quattro potenti proiettori e le prese d’aria per i freni anteriori. Lateralmente linea sfuggente grazie alla sua altezza contenuta (solo 1.113m), posteriore con classica coda tronca con ampio lunotto, telaio tubolare monotrave. Dal punto di vista meccanico l’auto versa in splendida forma, durante gli ultimi 20 anni è sempre stata rigorosamente manutenuta con rigorosi tagliandi, coperta al caldo dentro un garage. Gli interni sono interamente conservati, i sedili sono conservati come l’imperiale, il cruscotto e i panelli porta. Strumentazione molto chiara e funzionante (costruita in Italia), è inoltre dotata di tutte le sue targhette originali Alpine (numero di Telaio, Carrozzeria, Tipologia ecc..). L’auto verrà battuta in asta alla kermesse di Milano AutoClassica 2021 in condizione incredibili. In 1962, Alpine presented an extreme sports car, designed by Giovanni Michelotti, the A110.
