Venne prodotta in 4 serie diverse ma per ben 28 anni e riuscì a conquistare il cuore degli appassionati. Per scegliere il nome, l’Alfa Romeo, decise di indire un concorso pubblico, con in palio un esemplare della nuova macchina. Vinse il nome Duetto, ma l’appellativo fu usato solo per i primi 190 esemplari, a causa dell’omonimia con una merendina dell’epoca che ottenne l’uso esclusivo del nome. Nonostante ciò, l’appellativo rimase talmente radicato nel linguaggio comune, che tutte le successive versioni vennero identificate come Duetto. La spider 1300 Junior venne prodotta dal 1968 al 1969 per soli 2680 esemplari. La carrozzeria in stile moderno e realizzata su disegno Pininfarina, fu l’ultimo progetto seguito da Pininfarina in persona. La linea della macchina con il frontale e la coda arrotondati, raccordati dalle fiancate convesse, richiamano le forme di un osso di seppia, da qui l’appellativo che la rende riconoscibile in tutto il mondo. Stesso motore della GT 1300 Junior, con cambio a cinque rapporti e quattro freni a disco. Il magnifico esemplare da noi proposto in asta è stato immatricolato per la prima volta nel 1969, circa 10 anni fa l’auto è stata in parte restaurata, la carrozzeria ha subito una velata del suo colore originale rosso alfa. Il motore è stato interamente revisionato in tutti i suoi elementi di meccanica e in quelli legati alla componentistica elettrica, e canta come appena uscito dalla fabbrica. Gli interni in skai nero sono assolutamente originali e conservati in ogni aspetto, la capote è stata interamente rifatta circa due anni fa rispettando fedelmente tutti dettami di fabbrica. Quest’auto è parte di una bellissima collezione di Alfa Romeo appartenente ad un gentiluomo Italiano che negli anni ha curato in maniera eccellente tutti gli aspetti della conservazione delle sue auto. L’auto è dotata delle sue targhe originali (nel 1970 ha fatto cambio provincia da Lecce a Roma) e di tutta la sua documentazione originale ed è dotata di certificazione Riar. L’auto verrà battuta in asta alla kermesse di Milano AutoClassica 2021 in condizione straordinarie. The 1300 Junior Spider was produced from 1968 to 1969 in a limited run of 2680 units. The Pininfarina-designed, modern-style body was the last project to be followed by Pininfarina himself. The line of the car with its rounded front and tail, joined by convex sides, recalls the shape of a cuttlefish bone, hence the name that makes it recognizable all over the world. Same engine as the GT 1300 Junior, with a five-speed gearbox and four disc brakes. The wonderful example offered at auction was first registered in 1969. About 10 years ago the car was partially restored, the body has been painted with a veil of its original red alpha colour. The engine has been completely overhauled in all its mechanical and electrical components, and runs as if it just left the factory. The interior in black skai is absolutely original and preserved in every aspect, the hood was completely redone about two years ago faithfully respecting all the dictates of the factory. This car is part of a beautiful collection of Alfa Romeos belonging to an Italian gentleman who has taken excellent care of all aspects of the preservation of his cars over the years. The car has its original number plates (in 1970 it changed province from Lecce to Rome) and all its original documentation and is Riar certified. The car will be auctioned at Milano AutoClassica 2021 in extraordinary condition.
