EVERAERT, C.-J. [Map of Wavre and its surroundings]. S.l.n. 1789 Drawing, pen, brown and black ink, watercolour, on laid paper, 83 x 124 cm (lower corner damaged, later notes in red ink). Mounted on cloth with wooden stick, in metal tube. Neatly executed manuscript map with the lands belonging to Antoine Joseph Hérôme d'Onyn de Chastre, Lord of Cheremont (1732-1787), under the jurisdiction of Wavre, Ottenburg and Bierges, surveyed in September 1786 by C.-J. Everaert. Decorated with a lovely compass rose. Revised in 1836 by another sworn land surveyor. Not included is the territory of Cheremont, which was -according to Everaert- the topic of another map. Very interesting given that it includes the various localities and the names of the local landowners.
